Gauze is a kind of cotton fabric with sparse warp and weft. It belongs to the textile raw material and is a kind of cloth. Its main feature is relatively sparse and has obvious grid.

Gauze can be divided into many types according to different classifications. If it is divided according to yarn materials, it can be divided into pure cotton gauze, purified fiber gauze and blended gauze. According to different weaving processes, it can be divided into single-layer gauze, double-layer gauze and multi-layer gauze. If the color is different, it can be divided into colored gauze, white gauze and bleached gauze.

However, polyester cotton gauze and pure cotton gauze are similar, so it is often difficult to distinguish them correctly. So how should we distinguish them? First of all, it can be observed that, generally speaking, the color of polyester cotton gauze is brighter than that of pure cotton gauze, and the color of polyester cotton gauze is bright, and the fiber tissue is more compact and fine. Compared with pure cotton yarn, the color of polyester cotton gauze is often not so bright and soft. Some polyester cotton gauze even has some cotton seed residues on its surface.
